Fabric And Steamers For Sale

Share

[Edited Dec 26, 2022: These items are no longer available for sale.]
In this Tech Tuesday post we’re going to tell you about our fabric for sale (and steamers, too!). As many of you already know, we have decided to stop printing our own fabric. You can read about our reasons here. However, just because we’re not doing it anymore, doesn’t mean you should stop as well. We based our decision on several factors, none of which may apply to you. If that’s the case, you will be happy to hear that not only do we have prepared for print fabric to sell but also two fabric steamers. Just contact us, if you are interested in any of the items below:

The Fabric

You can see in the photo that Deb’s only looking at some of the fabric (there’s more on the shelves behind her). It’s all rolled on tubes and is backed with paper to feed it through your printer. We purchased all of our fabric from Jacquard. If you do not have a printer as wide as the widths listed below, you can cut the rolls to size. You can also use the fabric for pot dyeing; you just need to remove the paper backing. All the fabric is prepared for printing with Jacquard’s ProCoat finish. This finish is suitable for acid, reactive, and disperse dye. Here is what is available (with the current list price). All yardage (width=inches, length=yards) is approximate:

  • Silk Georgette (10mm), 40″ x 16.67 yds ($399)
  • Silk Gauze (3.5 mm), 42″ x 13.33 yds ($298)
  • Fuji Broadcloth, 40″ x 2.67 yds ($67)
  • Cotton Percale, 44″ x 16.67 yds ($283)
  • Cotton Interlock, 42″ x 9.33 yds ($231)
  • Cotton 10oz Duck, 42″ x 8.67 yds ($109)
  • Linen 5.5oz Belgian, 42″ x 9.33 yds ($219)
  • Silk Crepe de Chine (12mm), 42″ x 10 yds ($235)
  • Silk Crepe de Chine (23mm), 42″ x 2 yds ($37)
  • Rayon Challis, 42″ x 10 yds ($131)
  • Nylon Gauze, 42″ x 2 yds ($20)
  • Plus many partial rolls of 17″ wide silks
  • Plus many less-than-full-width pieces
  • Plus an almost full roll of steamer rolling paper

The Steamers

These two babies have performed nobly for us over the years. We put wheels on the vertical steamer, and it’s wrapped with a water heater insulation blanket to save energy. Both steamers have a core you can wrap the fabric around. Again, we are listing the prices you would pay for them today if new:

  • 120 volt electric steamer on wheels. Use for fabric up to 60″ wide. Price if new $1680 (not including the wheels)
  • Stovetop steamer, use for fabric up to 36″ wide. Price if new $375
Make us an Offer!

We are ready to let it all go, and the sooner, the better. We already have plans for the storage space. So let us know what you, dear fellow artist, are willing to offer. The list price of the fabric alone is over $2000, but we’re ready to consider all offers. As for delivery, you must either be able to pick up the items from our studio in Cameron Park, California or pay for shipping. And please tell your friends! Again, contact us here. Thanks in advance for your interest!

  1. Dumb question. I have an Epson 7210 using DuraBrite ink . Read feed 11 x 19 so would have to cut down but that’s no problem.
Your silks (or better for my printer textiles you may have? ) appropriate for this? They are paper backed and slide they printer easily?
    Many thanks
    Patricia Turner

  2. I would like the stove top steamer if you still have it. Please either email me for details or else phone 425802.3923. I am traveling today so text or phone is best today. Madeline

  3. Hi there!
I just found your posting and am interested in one of your steamers if any are available. Most interested in the stove top steamer. I have no idea what amount to offer you for either of these steamers. Please get back to me and let me know I’d either is still available and what price you think is fair.
