The bidding for our favorite auction, the Studio Art Quilt Associates Benefit Auction,* starts on September 14, 2023. As in years past, Kris and I are making our dream collections. This year I have no rhyme or reason. I just liked these eight pieces together, and they would look great on my wall.

Lime and pink is just a combination I love. I love the graphic layout and the dahlia-looking design.
This little guy just captured my eye. And look at that quilting!
Judy Cruickshank
I liked the graphic nature of this piece. It wasn’t until later I noticed it was a bird’s nest.
Birds really aren’t my thing, but look how many of them I have in this collection. I like how the shapes in Martha’s piece are similar to Ingrid’s.
Again, the graphic nature and the combination of circles and squares really appeal to me.
Helen Blumen
I don’t know. It seems so different, but it just fits in my collection. Perhaps it’s the little circles Helen added to all those straight lines.
Another bird? What can I say. These guys are so expressive. And I think it’s the first time Kris and I have ever had the same quilt in our dream collections. Click here to see her collection.
I guess I just had to add these cats to balance out the birds. Cats love birds, right?
