SAQA Spotlight Auction: Small Works, Small Prices, Great Art!

Share

Looking for great art for a small price? Well, we’ve got a deal for you! We are currently at the annual SAQA conference, via Zoom, of course, and the Spotlight Auction has already begun. You do not have to be a SAQA member to bid. You just have to get a paddle and start bidding! Click here for the instructions! All the tables close on Sunday, April 25. Good luck! Our fellow Northern California SAQA member, Sue Siefkin, created the piece above. If you like this piece, you can search for Sue’s name within the auction. Oh, wondering if we donated pieces to the auction? Of course, here they are below.

Deb’s Piece: “Home Security”

Do you know what information your smart home devices are sharing with the world? This piece is created with a printed circuit board from a home security system.

Kris’ Piece: “Reading Rainbow”

This is my homage to “Reading Rainbow,” a children’s television series. Its motto was opening books, opening minds. Great motto, great show. You can hang this as mounted, or remove the white stitching (on the back) that connects the six individual bookmarks and use them! Please note: the first and last columns (one red, one purple) are not visible when matted. For more information on this piece, click here to read a previous blog entry.

Good luck at the Spotlight Auction!
